As our Income Collection Officer, you would be at the frontline of this mission, allowing us to deliver on the big ambitions we have as we approach our centenary.

With your help we'll achieve better value for money across our Group, maximising our income and driving down costs. You'll help us invest even more in the future of people who need help.

You'll also provide advice, support and guidance on the debt collection process to customers and colleagues. In addition, you'll carry out financial account activity, including taking payments and setting up of payment plans to ensure effective debt collection in line with agreed processes. You'll be tasked with carrying out appropriate checks, identifying vulnerable customers as well as negotiating and agreeing on affordable and sustainable payment plans with customers.

So, who are you?

Essentially, we're looking for an individual who is customer focused with excellent communication skills, showing the ability to meet the needs of a varied customer base. You'll have a proven track record of problem solving, effective negotiation skills as well as managing business and customer requirements to a mutually agreeable solution. Not only are you an excellent team player, you have strong attention to detail, able to deliver to strict deadlines as well as remain calm in a pressurised environment and manage conflicting priorities. Although not essential, previous experience in a housing environment or working in a debt collection call centre would be desirable.

Enjoy the rewards

We're asking a lot from our Income Collection Officer but this a job that offers true satisfaction with the chance to help those who can't afford a house of their own.
