Collections Team Leader

We are on the lookout for Collections Team Leaders who are looking to build a long-term career within Motor Finance. You will be well rewarded with a starting salary of up to £40,000, with a bonus of up to 10% and the opportunity to work in a vibrant and modern City Centre office.

Duties for the Collections Team Leader

  • To invest time and experience in managing all aspects of people development / performance management within the team
  • To coach and develop team members according to the agreed coaching structure
  • Work closely with training and call quality teams in providing constructive and quantitative feedback whilst proactively removing any trends and risks within the team
  • Handle escalated calls / manager calls where necessary and therefore dealing directly with the customer and their circumstances
  • Liaise with compliance teams where necessary
  • Compose, conduct, and deliver effective 1-2-1, performance improvement plans, personal development plans
  • Liaise with HR department where necessary and carry out actions in relation to disciplinary, conduct and capability processes, absence management etc
  • Set and maintain effective service levels within the department to ensure efficiencies are achieved
  • Drive performance to achieve departmental and business targets
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and operating rules
  • Promote and encourage a culture of continuous improvement

Skills required for the Collections Team Leader

  • Must have 2 years' minimum team management experience and extensive recovery/collections experience
  • Asset / Car finance would be an advantage.
  • Consumer Finance desirable but not essential

Working hours of; 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8 hour shifts between 8am - 8pm, on a rolling roster pattern). 1 in 4 weekends. Day(s) off in the week in which you are scheduled to work that weekend.
