Collections/ Payment Support Manager

We have a brand new opening to join our Member Operations department in Nottingham City Centre. The team have expanded and we are looking for an experienced Collections/Payment Support Manager to complete the management team reporting directly to our Head of Member Operations.

This role will drive the Payment Support Team forward during a period of change; as The Nottingham continues to adapt to the external changes in 2020 this role will be critical to ensure we continue to demonstrate good conduct in dealing with our Members. We are looking for an experienced People Manager from a Collections/Payment Support role to provide commercial insight, implement and embed strategies and to lead the Payment Support Team.

The role -

•Responsible for the day to day management of the Payment Services Team
•Implement the operational arrears strategy for Member Operations - you will lead the team to deliver the strategy, delivering against departmental goals and objectives, while maintaining quality assurance
•Responsible for ensuring all team members are appropriately trained on regulatory areas and any changes competency tested and managed
•Ensure that the arrears contact strategy is regularly reviewed and implement changes to be as effective as possible utilising technology solutions
•Responsibility to ensure that the Technical Specialist has a clear roadmap of training requirements to ensure the team remain competent and up to date with any regulatory changes
•Continuous review and improvements of processes and procedures
•Management of the costs associated with the team in line with budget
•Responsibility for the risks associated with your business function
•SME on projects and web page content for areas of responsibility
•Manage all 3rd party relationships to the existing framework and make recommendations and ensure correct governance is adhered to

Your skills -

•Demonstrable experience of leading collection/arrears function
•Working knowledge of commercial lending and arrears management
•Experience of developing and coaching a team to drive performance
•Understand capacity planning, performance and operational management
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills
•Self-driven to succeed and to motivate a team to succeed
•Strong influencing and negotiating skills
