Collections Officer

Do you have experience of being a collections officer in a healthcare setting? Our large medical devices manufacturer is currently recruting for immdediate vacancies.

Pay

  • £11.00 per hour, up to £17.00 per hour for out of hours work.

Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management: Collecting Officer to ensure all stock is in date, in good working order, places orders to ensure they have correct stock for collections.
  • Process driven
  • Represent Abbott professionally, appropriate dress code, create good first impressions.
  • When a Collection Officer is assigned a collection, they must attend because they have committed to being available for the period.
  • Must accept all collections that have been assigned to them for when you have said they have stated they are available.
  • Customer Service skills: good interaction with a range of people, donors can be on edge (post incident etc) people feel nervous so need to make feel at ease and reassured.
  • iPad: basic admin skills, Outlook email accounts, excel plus other programs
  • Legally defensible sample: don't deviate from the collection process so if anything is challenged in court the samples collected are legally defensible.

Availability Requirements:

  • Provide availability a month in advance for the following month. Work shall be allocated for the times stated available, responsibility of Collection Officer to keep availability up to date on the system.
  • Availability expectation is that the Collecting Officer provides at least 2 weekends a month and 3 days per week as being available for work. One of these weekends will be allocated as being on call and one of the midweek days per week will be allocated as being on call. The rest of the days shall be available for pre-booked collections.
  • No guarantee will receive collections when you have provided availability, and at discretion of the client.
  • Business operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year
  • On Call, the expectation is to respond to callouts whilst on their allocated-On Call shift. All Call Outs must be attended within 2 hours (arrive on site within 2 hours). The expectation is each Collection Officer covers one 72-hour weekend shift per month and one 24 hour shift each week (mid-week).
