We are recruiting for a Collections / Debt Advisor to work in Syston or Leicester City Centre with free parking at Syston so you can choose the best location for you, as the Credit Controller you will be working an 8 hour day being part of an existing team reporting into a Manager working between the hours Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm which on an 8 hours day means flexibility on a start and finish time plus overtime paid at time and a half as you will work 1 Saturday in 4

As the Collections / Debt Advisor you will start on £20k which will increase to £21,500 and will include a very achievable bonus of £350 per month plus overtime

As the Collections / Debt Advisor we have listed the duties below

  • Managing outbound campaigns to take ownership for pursuing overdue debt on a portfolio of accounts
  • Authorising release of orders where credit limits have been exceeded or accounts have been placed "on stop" (in accordance with pre-determined guidelines)
  • Requesting credit limit increases where appropriate
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve queries and disputes causing payment delays
  • Weekly account reconciliations to minimise unallocated cash
  • Working on exceeded credit limit and on manual stops reports
  • Completing tasks in a timely manner in accordance with set deadlines
  • Calculating and discussing the benefits of Direct Debits and verbal set up this facility with the associated administration
  • Dealing with a high volume of inbound and outbound calls which will include Customer Service calls as well as credit control calls during our winter months

To be successful in this role of Collections / Debt Advisor we are looking for the following experience

  • Excellent customer service, time management and telephone skills
  • Experience of dealing with a high volume of customer accounts and associated call volume
  • Numerate
  • Strong negotiator and query resolution ability
  • Ability to make decisions within designated agreed levels of authority
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word & Excel
