COLLECTIONS CLERK

A thriving company within the banking sector is looking for a Collections Clerk to join their fast-paced, exciting team. The company is FTSE 250 listed and are registered on the London Stock Exchange.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Collections Clerk, you will undertake collection of overdue accounts, ensuring all arrears and repossessions cases are actioned promptly and effectively to maximise recoveries and minimise losses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Collections Clerk your key duties will include:

* Collecting overdue accounts as agreed with the Collections Manager

* Ensuring arrears are kept below budgeted maximums

* Corresponding with customers via telephone and email to ensure payments are made

* Advising and providing regular updates to relevant staff of any significant collections case and its progress

* Maintaining up to date records and allocation of monies

* Administering direct debits and preparing arrears reports

* Liaising with insurance companies, repossession agents, legal representation and sales representatives

* Ensuring all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the role of Collections Clerk, you must have:

* Previous experience within a Collections environment is essential

* Good numeracy skills with analytical ability

* Excellent customer service with effective communication

* Practical problem-solving competence

* Ability to multitask
