We are looking for a Collections Business Manager to join our team in Taunton, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Head of Collections, you will completely manage Collections activities within the South West of England and ensure that they are carried out in a safe, professional, economical and timely manner in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures. You will work to maximise collection rates, productivity and efficiency ensuring that all targets and objectives are met or exceeded.

The Collections Business Manager will also liaise and communicate effectively with Commercial team and customers, ensuring all contractual obligations are met, as well as with all other internal departments within Viridor. You will also liaise with external agencies such as DVSA, HSE, planners and contractors as required.

Our Ideal Collections Business Manager will have:

Knowledge of fleet operating systems and road transport or relevant environmental legislation.
Knowledge of complex reports and KPI's and how they are used within a Logistics business.
An excellent working knowledge of the waste and recycling market within the specified geographical area.
Ability to route vehicles effectively, considering profit and productivity.
Good customer service skills, communication, negotiating skills and problem-solving skills.
A proven track record of managing a Logistics operation successfully for a minimum of 2 years.
Previous experience of customer experience management and strategy.
Previous experience of controlling fleet activities and managing large teams, as well as experience of preparing budgets, forecasts and month end reports.
Full CPC National for road transport.
IOSH Managing safely or equivalent qualification.
Degree level or equivalent qualification.
Full driving licence.
