Collections Assurance Coordinator

Due to a period of growth, we have a fantastic opportunity to join the Assurance. Team as a Coordinator. The successful individual will support he implementation of the Group wide compliance framework, ensuring that as a business we comply with all regulation and legislation relating to consumer credit, debt collection and fair treatment of customers as well as ensuring that initiatives like Lending Standards Board Standards are fully embedded into our business. The role will be based at our Glasgow office combined with home working.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to the delivery of the independent 2nd line of defence Compliance Monitoring Plan by completing independent high standard monitoring reviews to challenge and validate 1st Line of Defence Quality Assurance Monitoring Reviews and evidence effective Assurance of risk controls relating to internal and external business functions
  • Deliver quality feedback and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collate key MI to drive risk focused oversight, testing and reporting
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of regulatory compliance knowledge i.e., FCA, CCA, MCOB, ICO, OFCOM, LSB, mitigating the risk of poor customer outcomes and/or regulatory breach
  • Ensure risk-based oversight is appropriately documented and delivers coverage across all areas of customer interaction
  • Work with Stakeholders to ensure remedial actions are appropriate and achievable. Promptly highlight key areas of risk to the Assurance Team Leader
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships
  • Promote continuous development and process improvement i.e., calibration sessions, customer journey reviews testing/reporting template development etc.
  • Embed the values, demonstrating a culture of engagement and accountability that supports the Groups vision and strategy

Is this you?

  • Previous experience of working within a collection's environment within financial services is essential
  • Previous experience of working in an assurance role would be ideal but not essential
  • Good awareness of compliance best practice and fair customer outcomes
  • Excellent communication, influencing skills and confident in communicating with stakeholders both written and verbal to build strong relations both internal and external
  • Customer Focused individual
  • Methodical and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent planning skills including pre-review information gathering/learning
  • Effective prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • PC literate on word processing and spread sheets to intermediate level
  • Abie to be flexible to effectively plan, manage and prioritise individual workload to meet business needs
