Collections Assistant

Halo Recruit is seeking an experienced Collections Assistant to join an established team on a full time, permanent basis.

Location - Leicester, LE1 (temporarily remote due to Covid19)
Hours - Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm
Salary - £21k - £24k depending on experience

Overview

The Collections Assistant (CA) will work closely with the Billing, Sales, and Finance teams to collect outstanding debt, assist in the resolution of internal and external accounts queries, help support the retention of customers and communicate pro-actively and effectively with our customers.

The successful candidate will have experience, and thrive, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. They will have success stories in negotiating with customers whilst building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and colleagues. They must demonstrate the ability to meet targets whilst adhering to company best practice guidelines.

This role will be involved with all four of our product ranges (Payments, Communications, Data, and Partners) and will be expected to support colleagues in other Finance tasks as required such as billing, reporting, and cash matching.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Customer account query investigation and resolution
Credit control, cash posting, and customer account management
Negotiating contract renewal pricing with customers
Issuing and completing contract paperwork
Product tariff reviews
Generating and sending sales invoices to customers
Analytical review and investigation into revenue completeness
Producing reports and analysis to management and other departments
Month-end reporting, analysis, and processing
Any other ad hoc duties as requiredSkills and Qualification Requirements

Educated to A-Level or equivalent
Attention to detail including a keen eye and comfort with numbers
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in working directly with customers either in person or over the phone
Conflict resolution
Ability to solve problems and generate ideas
A \'can do\' attitude
