Collections Agent

We are on the lookout for Collections Agents who are looking to build a long-term career within Motor Finance. You will be well rewarded with a starting salary of up to £25,000, with a bonus of up to 10% and the opportunity to work in a vibrant and modern City Centre office.

Our client is an award winning FinTech company who are experiencing a period of rapid growth and are looking to bolster their team with skilled Collections Agents. This opportunity comes with numerous companies benefits with clear routes for progression.

Duties for the Collections Agent

  • To recover customer arrears via telephone, written communications and/or any other digital methods introduced into the department / function
  • Set appropriate, sustainable, and compliant repayment arrangements
  • To address failed arrangements in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Address customer's change of circumstances in line with company policy and procedures surrounding potentially vulnerable customers
  • General administration duties
  • To adhere to the rules and guidelines as set out by the company and its regulators (FCA / ICO/ FLA)
  • To address and raise any risks identified thought the course of the role and in line with company policy
  • To assist in projects / mini initiatives within the collections function as advised by line manager
  • Adhere to KPI's set by the business
  • Understand and adhere to departmental Service Levels (SLA)
  • To meet individual and contribute to team targets
  • To complete any reasonable ad-hoc requests
  • To assist with the tracing function within the department where necessary

Skills required for the Collections Agent

  • Must have 18 months minimum collections experience ideally within a regulated environment
  • Asset / Car finance would be an advantage.
  • Consumer Finance desirable but not essential

Working hours of; 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8 hour shifts between 8am - 8pm, on a rolling roster pattern). 1 in 4 weekends. Day(s) off in the week in which you are scheduled to work that weekend.
