Working for a transforming business in finance, who use the latest technology to make it simple and flexible for small businesses to secure funding.

Due to a very exciting period of growth, both within the UK and internationally, with teams based in London, Nottingham, USA and Scandinavia, they are actively recruiting a Collections Agent to join their organisation on a permanent basis, located in Nottingham (mix role of office/remote working)

Their goal is simple and effective in being able to help customers who are having problems with the product or have difficulties with making their payments, working with them to understand their situation and help them get back on track.

They require a dedicated person to manage the CBIL customer portfolio and help manage their other customer base to ensure that they are providing a high level of customer service.

As a Collections Agent you will be responsible for the delivery of an in-house collection process managing a diverse receivables book. This will involve maintaining high quality, accurate and timely information which improves collection levels and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Daily monitoring of the receivables book to identify underperforming and inactive customers

* Investigate why a customer has become inactive using multiple resources and finding the most efficient solution for rehabilitating those customers

* Contacting inactive and underperforming customers daily by telephone and email

* Send legal letters to customers who we are unable to contact

* Ensure defaulting account volumes do not exceed budget by minimising how many accounts need to be sent for Debt Collection

* Work with little supervision to manage and prioritise your daily workload and call out any risk of delivery to your line manager

* Ensure we treat our customers fairly


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* Experience within a collections team, preferably with SME collection

* Ability to self-manage and prioritise

* Strong problem-solving skills

* Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with people at all levels

* High level of integrity

* Professional attitude

* Excellent excel and reporting skills

* Detail orientated

* Ability to identify and raise improvements to process and procedures
