Collections Advisor - Contract

Description

Our client, based in Farnborough is looking for a Collections Advisor to work on a 6 month cotnract. You will effectively manage and be responsible for all customer accounts assigned by the team Manager. Ensuring accounts are reconciled and adjusted to reflect payments received or credits applied.

Manage all issues within assigned accounts taking responsibility for both identifying and addressing issues with appropriate actions put in place.

Support areas of the business including Finance by completing activities which Collections are not directly responsible for, but which they undertake for the benefit of the customer and to assist with collection of funds due. These include but are not restricted to; Copy invoices, Copy DD statements, DD and invoice queries, queries regarding PO numbers, P11D information and calls regarding online invoicing.

Collection of payments via card payment. To include arrears payments, balloon payments and option payments.

To recognize through rejected payments and communication accounts in distress, from assigned accounts. Prepare and refer account to the Recovery team.

To negotiate within permitted sanction limits with customers on plans and payments to bring arrears back in line with terms.

Ensure deadlines are met and quality standards maintained, targets to be achieved in line with department scorecard and objectives. Contribution toward team targets.

Ensure all systems employed are maintained with concise, accurate & factual notes for future reference.

Qualifications and Experience

Previous Collections/Recovery experience desirable

Background in accounting or legal roles with any associated qualifications is desirable but not essential.

Excellent communication skills via all mediums (Email, Phone - essential)
Analytical and objective approach to problem solving.
Knowledge of DPA, CCA, FCA, TCF & Money Laundering (desirable)
Strong team ethic.

Good academic background. Passes at GCSE or equivalent and A\' levels or higher related education is desirable but not essential.
